Every year, the Pantone Color Institute conducts research, as a result of which the company presents a palette of current shades for the coming year, as well as the main color of the year. The company makes such predictions based on social and cultural changes in society, as well as trends in the use of one or another shade in various forms of art and, in particular, in fashion. The color of the year is determined after secret meetings of representatives of various national groups in one of the European capitals.

According to Pantone, the combination of yellow and gray best expresses the mood of 2021, highlighting how dissimilar elements can come together to support each other. "Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow color, sparkling with liveliness, a warming yellow hue, infused with solar energy. Ultimate Gray symbolizes strong and reliable elements that are timeless and provide a solid foundation ”- explained the institute.

In clothes, gray and yellow colors harmoniously combine with each other and create elegant looks. If we talk about color saturation, the brighter and darker yellow, the more shades of gray can be combined with it, but pale yellow tones coexist more harmoniously with light gray shades.
